Pakistan and Turkiye have made significant progress in technical cooperation in the livestock sector and local production of vaccines.

With technical assistance from Türkiye, Pakistan will locally produce a vaccine to prevent Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD).

In this regard, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain held an important meeting with Turkish Ambassador Dr Irfan Neziroglu.

They discussed the development of the livestock sector, local vaccine production and technical training.

Under the proposed programme, Pakistan will send thirty people to Türkiye in the first phase of a plan to train one hundred individuals.
