President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces for successful operations against Khwarij in Peshawar, Mohmand and Karak districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In their separate messages, they commended the bravery and professionalism of security forces for killing nineteen Khawarij in Intelligence-based operations. They also paid tribute to three brave security personnel, who embraced martyrdom during these operations.

Both the leaders prayed for higher ranks of the departed souls, and commiserated with the bereaved families.

In his message, the President reiterated the resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country, and said that operations against the Fitna-al-Khawarij will continue till complete elimination of terrorism. He further said that entire nation is united against terrorism.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister said that the entire nation, including him, salutes the courage and bravery of the security forces. He expressed the resolve that the nefarious designs of the Fitna-al-Khawarij to disrupt country’s peace and stability will be thwarted.

Shehbaz Sharif said that officers and jawans of security forces are purging the country of terrorism without caring about their own lives and making eternal sacrifices for the nation's security and well-being.
