Overseas Kashmiris residing in the United Kingdom have expressed concerns over the protest call given by the banned Joint Awami Action Committee.
They said the committee is unnecessarily calling for protests and attempting to create instability in the state.
The overseas Kashmiris emphasized that the right to vote is a fundamental right of every citizen and that refugees are also Kashmiris whose voting rights cannot be denied.
They urged the Action Committee not to become a tool of any external group and advised it to abandon its rigid stance and adopt the path of dialogue.
The overseas Kashmiris also acknowledged the efforts of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Rathore to resolve the issue through consultation and consensus.
They further said that a few nationalist elements within the Action Committee are pursuing a specific agenda aimed at creating divisions among the people.
They noted that repeated protests and strikes are causing significant financial losses and disrupting daily life and economic activities.
The overseas Kashmiris stressed that the bond between local Kashmiris and refugees is strong and unbreakable, and that no force can weaken this relationship.
