
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed confidence that his recent visit to Türkiye will further strengthen longstanding relations between the two countries.
Chairing a meeting of the Federal Cabinet in Islamabad today, he took the cabinet into confidence regarding the outcomes of his recent visits to Türkiye and Iran.
The Prime Minister said Turkish investors and business leaders have shown keen interest in investing in Pakistan's diverse sectors, particularly the mining and minerals and energy sectors.
Shehbaz Sharif further informed the cabinet that he, along with a Pakistani delegation, attended the funeral ceremonies of the late Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The Prime Minister also paid rich tribute to the bravery of Pakistan Air Force Group Captain Asim Tariq, who embraced martyrdom while saving the life of a woman in Islamabad.
He said the accused involved in the incident has been arrested and will be brought to justice in accordance with the law.
Commending the sacrifices and services of the security forces in the fight against terrorism and referring to the recent killing of 15 terrorists in Balochistan, Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence that the day is not far away when the menace of terrorism will be eradicated from the country.
The cabinet also offered Fateha for the departed souls of the security personnel who embraced martyrdom in the war against terrorism.
