As part of Independence Day celebrations, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Lahore organized a patriotic songs competition at the Noor Jehan Auditorium today.

Students from leading universities and educational institutions across Lahore showcased their patriotism through inspiring performances.

Sidra Shafique of Government Gulberg College secured first position, while Mustafa Saqib of Government College University Lahore and Shafay Sheikh of Unique Group of Colleges finished second and third, respectively.

Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony, Station Director of Radio Pakistan Lahore Dr. Ahmar Sohail Basraa said Radio Pakistan was the first broadcasting institution to announce the establishment of Pakistan.

He said Lahore has long been a centre of art, literature and culture, with Radio Pakistan nurturing many of the country's renowned artists, singers, writers, and broadcasters.
