Renowned novel writer Amna Mufti has stressed the need for joint efforts by government, civil society, and media to raise awareness about breast cancer.

She stated this while talking in Radio Pakistan News and Current Affairs Program "Lahore Insight" in connection with Breast Cancer Awareness campaign on Friday.

Participating in the program, Aliya Agha, a cancer survivor, urged the women to be vigilant about the alarming signs of the disease.

Dr Maryam Naeem, in her remarks, said that early diagnosis of breast cancer is crucial in increasing survival rate in women.
