Sana Ullah urges PTI leadership to put national interests above personal interests
October 07, 2026

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sana Ullah Khan has said the government is open to dialogue with the opposition.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized yesterday that the opposition, PTI and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government reject the politics of instability, sit at the negotiating table and resolve issues through dialogue.

The Adviser, however, made it clear that demands cannot be met by adopting the course of political instability.

Rana Sana Ullah Khan regretted that the PTI’s agenda has always been to create political instability in the country. He said the party has only promoted a culture of intolerance, hatred and abusive language.

He urged the PTI leadership to put national interests above personal interests and call off its long march, saying it has already failed to attract public support.

The Adviser on Political Affairs said a policy against terrorism already exists and it will be pursued with full vigour. He said intelligence based operations against terrorists are continuing and they will be continued till their complete elimination.

He regretted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has failed to fulfill its responsibility in the war against terrorism. He said the federal government has so far prioritised negotiations and wants the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to play its part in the war against terrorism. He said the federal government can play its role in the best interest of the country if the provincial government persists with its current posture.
