Analysts urge UN to act against India’s disinformation campaign to malign Pakistan
January 08, 2021

Dr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan (IR Expert): India has been making false propaganda to malign Pakistan's image at the international front for the last many years. Unfortunately, the international community has folded a blind eye towards India's malicious designs for strategic and economic interests. Pakistan would never compromise on its stance regarding Kashmir. The world must come forward and exert pressure on India to stop its state sponsored terrorism. The international media has also exposed India for pursuing aggressive policies to impose its supremacy on the neighboring countries. India is committing worst human rights violations in IIOJ&K to suppress the indigenous freedom movement. Indian atrocities against innocent Kashmiris are a clear violation of international laws. Pakistan is a peaceful country and we believe in peaceful coexistence. It is high time for Pakistan to counter Indian agenda with unity. There is a carefully crafted network in India which is promoting the Hindutva ideology of hatred and extremism under the supervision of the government. BJP has come into power with a manifesto which is focused on fundamentalism and extremism.

Dr. Huma Baqai (IR Expert): EU Disinfo Lab has exposed India's nefarious face at the international front. It is evident that the Modi government finances the anti-Pakistan agenda. The Western world's tilt towards India has escalated tension in the region. Indian government is habitual of misleading the world community through falsehood.

Dr. Waseem Khawaja (Spokesperson, PIMS): People must follow the SOPs to avoid any unfavorable situation. It is highly important to maintain sufficient distance and use a mask. Make it a habit to frequently wash hands or use sanitizers. The Chinese vaccine is available at government hospitals. The best strategy to stay safe is to follow the precautionary measures properly. The developed countries must facilitate the developing countries to cope with the negative impacts of the pandemic.

Dr. Zaeem Zia (DHO Islamabad): It is appreciable that Covid-19 situation is improving in Pakistan. The positivity rate in Islamabad is the lowest. The incumbent government is taking corrective measures to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic. We have arranged training on the delivery of Covid-19 vaccination.  Regional cooperation is highly imperative for availability of the vaccine to the poorest segments of the society.
