Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called for coordinated scientific response in dealing with the global challenges to humanity such as climate change, poverty reduction and food security.
Addressing the start-up conference held in America, through video link on Thursday, he said the Corona pandemic provides an important opportunity to explore how we can use technology to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
The Foreign Minister said socio-economic development and stability are among our government's top priorities.
At the same time, we are focusing on challenges such as poverty alleviation, climate change, food security and malnutrition.
He said the recently concluded Islamabad Security Dialogue also emphasized the need to promote global connectivity to resolve issues.
He said it is in our best interest to allow innovation to flourish and advance global efforts to protect resources.
He expressed hope that this startup conference will make the youth aware of the opportunities available in Pakistan regarding startups.
