World Oceans Day is being observed today.

The day is observed to raise awareness about the importance of oceans and encourage actions for their sustainable management.

The purpose of observing this day is also to inform the public about the impact of human actions on the oceans and how to sustainably manage these for future generations.

The theme of this year is "Reimagine: Beyond the world we know, a new relationship with our ocean", invites us to change the way we see and care for the ocean.
