Security forces determined to hunt down terrorists: DG ISPR
July 08, 2026

Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says the security forces have absolute clarity and resolve to hunt down terrorists everywhere.

He was addressing a media briefing in Rawalpindi today on the recent incidents of terrorism in Balochistan.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan are targeting innocent people in the province. He said fifty-four Khawarij were killed, while forty-two people, including brave civilians and valiant personnel of the Balochistan Police, embraced martyrdom in the recent terrorist incidents.

The Director General ISPR said the security forces are continuing operations against the terrorists to eliminate them completely. He said India and other enemies of Pakistan are behind these terrorist activities as they are unable to digest Pakistan's stability, prosperity, and honour. He said terrorists are using territory under the control of the Afghan Taliban as a base of operations and that the Afghan Taliban are providing them with facilitation and manpower.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said these elements are frustrated because they know that all illegal Afghan nationals will be repatriated from Pakistan. He said they cannot deter Pakistan from its resolve to eradicate terrorism from its soil.

Reaffirming the armed forces' commitment, he said they will take on every terrorist and facilitator without any distinction.
