Ninth Muharram-ul-Haram was observed on Monday with due solemnity and reverence across the country to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala.

In this connection, Taazia and Zuljanah processions were taken out in different parts of the country in memory of martyrs of Karbala.

Ulema and Zakireen highlighted the bright and candid teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) and various aspects of Karbla tragedy.

Elaborate security arrangements were in place to avoid any untoward incident during the mourning processions.

In the Federal Capital, the main procession of Taazia and Zuljinah was taken out from Markazi Imambargah G-6/2, which will terminate at the same place after passing through the traditional route.

The processions of 9th Muharram-ul-Haram in Karachi was taken out from Nishtar Park this afternoon and it will culminate at Imam Bargah Iranian Hussainian after Maghrib.

In Lahore, mourning procession was taken out from Islampura which culminated at the same venue on Monday night.

In Peshawar, the main procession of 9th Muharram was taken out from Imambargah Hussainia Hall, Saddar Road and terminated at its starting point in the evening.

In Gilgit Baltistan, mourning processions of 9th Muharraml-ul-harram were taken out in Gilgit and other districts on Monday.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Taazia, Alam and Zuljinnah processions were taken out in all the big and small cities of the territory.

In the state capital Muzaffarabad and adjoining areas, 26 mourning processions of Taazia and Alam were taken out from different imam bargahs.
