
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that special helplines and rehabilitation centres are being established to eliminate child labour in the province.
She stated this during a meeting with a delegation led by Director General of the International Labour Organization Gilbert F. Houngbo in Lahore today.
The Chief Minister said the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution is striving to provide the best healthcare facilities to workers and their families.
She said the Punjab Labour Code 2026 has been enforced in the province following its approval by the provincial cabinet.
The ILO Director General appreciated the significant increase in grants for the welfare of workers.
