Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended felicitations to Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and the people on the sixth anniversary of Victory Day.

In a post on X, he said November 8 stands as a historic testament to the courage, resolve and sacrifice of the Azerbaijani nation, which restored its territorial integrity after nearly three decades.

The Prime Minister also paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs whose sacrifices made this triumph possible.

He said that last year's Victory Day Parade in Baku, where he had the honour of joining President Aliyev, captured the unbreakable bond between the two nations.

Shehbaz Sharif prayed for Azerbaijan to continue to rise from strength to strength and expressed hope that the South Caucasus would move towards lasting peace and shared prosperity.
