In Brazil, at least seven people were killed and nine seriously injured after a cliff collapsed on boats at Capitolio in Minas Gerais state.

According to media reports, three boats were carrying tourists to Furnas Lake in Minahs Gerais state when they met an accident.

Authorities said the region has been under heavy rainfall for two weeks, which could have loosened the rock face.
