An activist of banned Joint Awami Action Committee has announced disassociation from the group and welcomed the decision to declare Joint Awami Action Committee a banned organization.

The dissociated activist condemned the violent incidents and said the movement, which initially began in the name of securing basic rights, has now drifted toward violence.

He said the violent actions of the Joint Awami Action Committee had also resulted in the loss of human lives.

He appealed to the people of Azad Kashmir not to become part of the banned organization's call for violent protests.

The dissociated activist further urged the banned Joint Awami Action Committee to abandon the path of violence and engage in dialogue and negotiations.
