In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, civil society activists have expressed grave concern over the severe repression faced by Kashmiri people at the hands of Indian authorities.

During media interviews in Srinagar, the activists said that India has intensified cordon and search operations, raids, and arbitrary detentions across the territory.

They said Indian authorities routinely invoke draconian laws to prolong the detention of Kashmiris and seize their properties as a tool to intimidate and silence them.

They added that the Modi regime has transformed IIOJK into a heavily militarized territory where basic rights remain under severe restrictions.
