June 09, 2026

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced that preparations for Hajj 2027 will begin immediately in line with directives issued by Saudi authorities.

This was stated by the Ministry's spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt while talking to Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Asad Ullah Khan in Madinah today.

He said mandatory registration for Hajj 2027 will commence later this month.

The spokesperson urged intending pilgrims to ensure that their Pakistani passports are ready as soon as possible.

He said one of the key requirements is a valid passport with an expiry date valid until at least 16 November 2027.

Registration is also mandatory for overseas Pakistanis who wish to perform Hajj under Pakistan's quota.

Muhammad Umar Butt said that after registration, applicants will have the option to choose either the government Hajj scheme or a private Hajj tour operator.

He clarified that the final Hajj package cost, installment schedule, and terms and conditions will be announced later under the Hajj Policy 2027.

The spokesperson said intending pilgrims can obtain details and updates through the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
