Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said Bundal Island in Karachi will attract fifty billion US dollars' investment which will benefit country's overall economy. 

Addressing a news conference along with Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi in Islamabad, he said federal government will take all the stakeholders on board to make this eco and environment friendly project.

He said a working group will be established where there will be representation of provincial and federal governments and other relevant departments.

The Governor said this project will create job opportunities up to one hundred and fifty thousand.

He said a fish market with state of the art facilities will be provided to the fishermen and it will help boost the export in fishing sector.

Imran Ismail said he will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and will try to address reservations of Sindh government. He said Bundle Island will increase revenue of Sindh government. It will also become a tourists' destination in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi said the area of Bundal Island is under jurisdiction of Port Qasim Authority. He said Pakistan Peoples Party is trying to make it an issue unnecessarily.
