Students at the University of Colorado, Boulder have designed a refrigeration system for the International Space Station called Freezer Refrigerator Incubator Device for Galley and Experimentation, or FRIDGE.

A student who is leading the project said there are no rotating parts, no fans, which is really big for reliability.

He said NASA has ordered eight FRIDGE units, with six already being used aboard.
