In Quetta, Deputy Inspector General Police Hamid Shakeel and his Driver were martyred in a bomb attack on their vehicle at Airport road on Thursday.

SP Security Quetta Police, Javaid Iqbal told our correspondent Aftab Sherazi during a brief conversation that the DIG was on his way from his home to office when the bomb blast occurred.

Five police personnel who were also injured in the attack were shifted to CMH for treatment.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has strongly condemned the bomb attack on Police vehicle.

He expressed deep sorrow and grief over martyrdom of DIG and his driver in the incident.
