The power supply has been restored in most parts of the country which was affected due to a major breakdown last night.

According to the spokesperson of power division, the breakdown was happened due to technical fault when frequency became zero from fifty.

The spokesman said Minister for Energy Omar Ayub Khan himself remained present at National Control Centre to supervise the restoration of the electricity.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of the NTDC said that a committee has been constituted to probe the breakdown causes.
