United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has welcomed the agreement of new unified interim executive authority charged with leading the Libya to elections and termed it a major achievement in the country.

In a presidential statement, the Council welcomes the agreement reached by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.

The Security Council further calls on the interim executive authority to launch a comprehensive national reconciliation process.
