The National Assembly resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad this evening with Speaker Asad Qaisar in the chair.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said overseas community are playing instrumental role in economic development of the country, therefore, their participation in the voting process of the country is inevitable.
Speaking on a motion in the National Assembly, he urged the opposition parties to play positive role for the provision of this fundamental right to overseas Pakistanis.
The National Assembly today passed The Financial Institutions (Secured Transactions) (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
The bill was moved by the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan.
Three bills were also introduced in the House.
These include; “The Pakistan Allied Health Professionals Council Bill, 2021”, “The Pakistan Nursing Council (amendment) Bill, 2021” and “The Mutual Legal Assistance (Criminal Matters) (Amendment) Bill, 2021”.
