Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the suicide of Laiba Aijaz, a student of the International Islamic University, Islamabad.

The prime minister directed the Inspector General of Police, Islamabad, and the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad, to immediately take into custody the accused who allegedly blackmailed the deceased student.

Shehbaz Sharif said it is a deeply tragic incident and the accused will be arrested and given exemplary punishment in accordance with the law.
