Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured the family of late student Laiba Aijaz that those responsible for her tragic death will be brought to justice.

He gave the assurance during his visit to the residence of Laiba Aijaz in Islamabad today along with Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep grief over the heart-wrenching incident, saying that every eye is tearful over Laiba's death. He affirmed that ensuring justice for the family is not just a duty but a responsibility, adding that the accused will not be able to escape severe punishment under the law.

The interior minister said that an FIR has been registered and the police investigation is underway. He said the police are investigating the incident from all angles and the facts will be brought to light.

Mohsin Naqvi assured the family that justice will be delivered.

Mohsin Naqvi and Talal Chaudhry met Laiba's father and family, expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Deputy Inspector General, Senior Superintendent of Police Operations and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion.
