UNSC passes resolution demanding Yemen's Houthis to end attacks in Red Sea

The UN Security Council has passed a resolution demanding Yemen’s Houthis end attacks on ships in the Red Sea.

The US and Japan sponsored the resolution.

Eleven members of the council voted for the measure calling on Houthis to immediately cease all attacks.

Four members Algeria, China, Mozambique and Russia abstained. None voted against.
