Provincial Disaster Management Authorities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have issued an alert about intermittent rains with thunderstorms, hail storms and gusty winds in most parts of the provinces from tomorrow till Saturday.

According to DG PDMA Punjab, Omar Javed said that under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz' direction, all Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners have been alerted. He cautioned citizens to remain in safe places to protect themselves from lightning.  

According to PDMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all Deputy Commissioners across the province have been directed to ensure precautionary measures to avoid any human and material losses during the forecast period.

The authority also directed all the concerned departments to stay alert and ensure pre-emptive measures as rains can cause landslides in hilly areas and flash floods in urban areas of the province.
