A two-day training workshop titled "Narrative Building and Counter Narrative" for the officers of Radio Pakistan kicked off at Pakistan Broadcasting Academy (PBA) in Islamabad on Wednesday.
This workshop is designed to impart essential skills to the participants needed to address modern-day challenges and transform mindset of society through effective narrative building.
In his keynote lecture, Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Saeed Ahmed Shaikh threw light on how narrative building is crucial in shaping public perception and influencing social, political, and cultural norms in today's interconnected world. He said that narrative building is a powerful tool for shaping societies by fostering a collective understanding and influencing attitudes and behaviors on a large scale.
Earlier, Principal of the Pakistan Broadcasting Academy, Dr. Javed Khattak in his welcome speech, thanked the participants for attending the training workshop, both in person and via video link. He emphasized that such workshops contribute to the capacity building of officers and officials within any organization.
