Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has invited Pakistan People’s Party to form the government in Gilgit-Baltistan, saying that the PPP has emerged as the majority party in the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In a statement today, he assured full support of PML-N to PPP on the issue of formation of the government.

The Prime Minister said the PML-N has decided to sit on the opposition benches in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, but its elected members will vote in favour of the PPP to form the government.

Shehbaz Sharif said the decision has been taken in line with the democratic traditions and values.

He said the PML-N has always maintained a relationship based on respect with its allied parties.
