The tenth death anniversary of renowned director, producer, broadcaster and TV playwright Agha Nasir is being observed today.

He was born on 9th February, 1937 in Mumbai, India.

He began his career as a broadcaster for Pakistan Radio in 1955.

Agha Nasir produced drama serials including ‘Girah’ and ‘Pani Pe Naam’. One of his directions, ‘Taleem-e-Balighan’, is considered as one of the best stage dramas ever to have aired on PTV.

He also contributed to the design of the logo of PTV.

He authored many books, including ‘Gumshudda Log’, ‘Gulshan-i-Yad’, and ‘Hum Jeetay Ji Masroof Rahay’, and also penned his autobiography ‘Agha Se Agha Nasir Tak’.

Agha Nasir was also awarded the Pride of Performance Award.

He died on this day in 2016.
