The seventeenth death anniversary of film actor Ilyas Kashmiri was observed on Thursday.

Born in 1925 in Lahore, Kashmiri performed in more than six hundred films.

In his long fifty years' showbiz career, he appeared on film screen in multiple roles as hero, comedian, side hero and villain.

He worked with many renowned actors including Santosh Kumar, Sultan Rahi, Anjuman, Munawar Zareef, Rangeela and others.

He died on this day in 2007 in Lahore at the age of 84.
