A Software Technology Park was inaugurated in Bhimber, Azad Jammu and Kashmir with the collaboration of Special Communication Organization.

The aim of establishing the park is to transform Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan into an IT linked region.

The setting up Software Park is in line with SCO's vision of "Empowerment of youth through provision of sustainable IT environment in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan".

This is the twenty-first project under the plan to establish a total of fifty Software Technology Parks and Freelancing Hubs in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Software Technology Park Bhimbar has so far attracted six startups and twenty four freelancers.
