Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah says the government has allowed Federal Investigation Agency to arrest former finance minister Shaukat Tarin for a wrong deed, which could cause loss to the country.

Addressing a news conference in Karachi, he said the permission to arrest Shaukat Tarin was granted on the request of FIA, after completion of an inquiry against him.

Replying to a question about talks with proscribed terrorist outfits, the Interior Minister said there is no sign of talks with them in view of the unsuccessful talks in the past.
