Indian Americans slam Hindutva policies of Modi led BJP Govt in India
September 13, 2021

Representatives of several Indian diaspora organizations in the United States have rejected the Hindutva policies of Modi led BJP government in India and demanded equal rights for Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christians in the country.

Speaking at a zoom conference titled 'Dismantling Global Hindutva', the participants criticized acting US ambassador Atul Keshap's meeting with the chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-the paramilitrary force behind extremist Hindutva ideology.

The speakers termed the meeting a legitimization and normalization of a fascistic organization involved in countless acts of violence against Indian minorities. They urged the US government to disavow any associations with the RSS and give explanation for the ambassador’s meeting with the RSS chief.
