Federal Ombudsman disposed of 130,112 complaints as against the highest number of 133,521 received during the last year.
This was stated by Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz at a news conference in Islamabad today.
Highlighting the performance of his institution during 2020, the Federal Ombudsman said each complaint was decided within sixty days. He said 690 percent increase was recorded in receipt of offline complaints during the year. He said eighty-nine percent findings were implemented.
The Federal Ombudsman said speedy justice was delivered free of cost at the doorsteps of people. He said maximum number of complaints was registered and disposed of through online system during the corona pandemic. He said impressive improvements were also ensured in improving jail conditions.
