US Chargé d'Affaires to Afghanistan, Ross Wilson has expressed his country's commitment for bringing about an end to the conflict in Afghanistan through a political settlement.

In a series of tweets, he said the intra-Afghan talks going on in Doha are an important step forward and their outcome should be based on aspirations of Afghan people, but the United States remains firm in its call for reduction of violence and accelerated talks.
