The United Nations’ flagship World Economic Situation and Prospects report says Pakistan's economy remains on a relatively robust recovery path.
According to the annual report, after an economic expansion of 4.5 per cent last year, the GDP growth is projected at 3.9 per cent in the current fiscal year, driven by private consumption, record-high remittances and fiscal support.
Overall, the report shows that the rapid spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant has slowed down the rapid world recovery.
