Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired the provincial cabinet meeting in Lahore today and approved various initiatives.
During the meeting, it was decided to launch a registration campaign for all vehicles across Punjab and a decision was made to limit the speed of motorcycles in the province to 60 km per hour.
The meeting also approved the first-of-its-kind "Punjab Assan Karobar Finance" scheme in Punjab.
The Chief Minister ordered the establishment of charging stations for electric vehicles across Punjab and called for a comprehensive electric vehicle policy.
In the meeting, approval was granted to increase the number of Kisan cards from 500,000 to 750,000, along with a 30 percent increase in the cash limit for Kisan cards.
