In the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, India defeated Pakistan by 64 runs in Birmingham tonight [Sunday].

Batting first after winning the toss, India Women scored 170 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Smriti Mandhana, with 68 runs, and Harmanpreet Kaur, with 36 runs, remained main scorers for India. For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana took two wickets each.

In reply, Pakistan Women were all out for 106 runs in 17 overs. Muneeba Ali remained the top scorer with 41 runs.

Deepti Sharma of India, who claimed five wickets, was declared Player of the Match.
