Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stressed the need for close cooperation for peace, and tranquility in the region.

Delivering his opening remarks at Pakistan Oman Joint Ministerial Commission meeting in Islamabad today, he said both Pakistan and Oman can play a vital role in achieving lasting regional peace.

Ishaq Dar highlighted that while formal diplomatic ties span fifty-five years, deep historical bonds between both the nations extend back centuries.

The Deputy Prime Minister said there is immense scope to expand trade, economic activities and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Oman.
