Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has underscored the importance of revitalizing regional cooperation to promote connectivity, sustainable development, and shared prosperity among the peoples of South Asia.

He was talking to the Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Ambassador Md. Golam Sarwar who paid a farewell call on him in Islamabad today.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan's steadfast commitment to the SAARC Charter.

He appreciated the Secretary General's dedicated service and leadership in advancing regional cooperation during his tenure as Secretary General of SAARC.

Shehbaz Sharif wished Ambassador Golam Sarwar every success in his future endeavors.

In his remarks, the SAARC Secretary General thanked the Prime Minister for Pakistan's support extended to him during his tenure as head of SAARC.
