Pakistan and Indonesia have reaffirmed their resolve to further enhance bilateral cooperation through training, reciprocal visits and joint naval exercises.

The resolve was expressed during a meeting between Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of the Indonesian Navy Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security and bilateral naval cooperation came under discussion.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan Navy's efforts and initiatives towards regional maritime security.

Earlier, on arrival at Naval Headquarters, the visiting dignitary was presented Guard of Honour. He also laid floral wreath at Shuhada Monument.

During his visit to Karachi, the Chief of the Indonesian Navy also interacted with Pakistan Navy Field Commanders and Managing Director Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works. He also visited Pakistan Navy Fleet Units and Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre.

The visit will further strengthen defence and naval cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia.
