In Burkina Faso, at least 20 people including 19 security personnel and a civilian were killed in an attack on the military police by the militants in the northern region of the country.

In a statement, Security Minister Maxime Kone told media that terror attack was carried out on a military police outpost near a gold mine.

Meanwhile, talking to press, Burkinabe Prime Minister Christopher Dabiri expressed his firm resolve to eliminate terrorism in the country.
