North Korea has test fired an intercontinental ballistic missile into its eastern waters.

The launch came a day after the U.S. and South Korean militaries began their largest joint field exercises which Pyongyang considers hostile and a rehearsal for invasion.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said that North Korea has launched what appeared to be a banned ICBM.
