Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain has said reforms will be introduced in the state owned media outlets in order to turn them into effective voice of the state.
In an interview with daily Dawn, he said Radio Pakistan and PTV are being revamped and people would see changes in the next few months.
He said the PTV will begin digital transmission next month.
Chaudhary Fawad Hussain said Radio Pakistan will soon be connected to Youtube and other internet platforms.
The Information Minister said the film industry will also be revived and a policy is being introduced to encourage people to establish cinema houses which would be almost tax free.
Meanwhile, in a tweet on Sunday, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, said that the government will table the Protection of Journalists and Media professionals Bill, 2021 in tomorrow's session.
