Analysts voice concern over massive human rights violations by India in IIOJ&K
June 16, 2021

Ali Muhammad Khan (Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs):Prime Minister Imran Khan is highly concerned with the well-being of the poorest segments of the society. Most of the programs initiated by the government, including interest-free loans for homes and business, Langar Khanas and Panah gaas, Ehsas financial assistance would ease the life of common man and daily wagers. The people need to be aware of the fake messages and frauds. If you get any fake message it is your responsibility to inform the concerned authorities. Ehsas program is a flagship program of the PTI government and the whole idea is the welfare of neglected and marginalized segments of the society. Pakistan believes in peaceful co-existence with all neighbouring countries, including India

Dr. Huma Baqai (Expert on International Relations):   The Modi-led regime in India is in hot waters due to internal crises and challenges. The Modi government has failed to fulfill expectations of the citizens.  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can go to any extent to divert the attention of the world from India's internal crises. Modi will continue its agenda on Kashmir as there is a little resistance around him. Pakistan is trying to build up international and diplomatic pressure on India by highlighting the worst human rights violation in IIOJ&K. Pakistan has always desired functional relations with India; however, we would never compromise on Kashmir cause.  Pakistan has pursued a very effective foreign policy to sensitize the international community regarding the Kashmir issue. Pakistan's foreign policy is based on connectivity and balance. Pakistan wants to established peaceful and balanced relations with the United States and China. We do not want to be a part of any cold war.

Dr. Khurram Iqbal (Expert on International Relations): Pakistan is pursuing an effective diplomacy to highlight the Kashmir issue at every international forum. It is a diplomatic victory for Pakistan that international human rights organizations are criticizing India for violating human rights in IIOJ&K. Unfortunately, the Western powers have failed to pressurize India to stop atrocities in IIOJK for their political and financial interests. The indigenous freedom movement in Kashmir is led by the Kashmiri youth.  The Indian government is trying to change the demographic composition of Kashmir through illegal settlements in the held valley. Pakistan believes that Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process is the ultimate solution of Afghan crisis. The Afghan government is not acting with maturity to resolve the Afghan dispute. The Kabul government is habitual of blaming Pakistan for its internal failures. The Indian lobby in Afghanistan has great influence in Afghanistan. The political and security instability in Afghanistan is in the best interest of peace spoilers.

Professor Dr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan (Expert on International Relations): The recent developments in Afghanistan indicate that Taliban would not accept ceasefire in coming days. Taliban have emerged as a political power in Afghanistan. The Kabul government has failed to impose its writ in Afghanistan. The coming days are critical as far as Afghan dispute is concerned. It is an alarming situation for Pakistan as Pakistan has already paid a huge price because of Afghan war. Pakistan will continue to play its positive role for peaceful and negotiated settlement of Afghan and Kashmir disputes.
