China has appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting peace between United States and Iran.

Spokesperson for Chinese’s Foreign Ministry, while responding to a question in Beijing regarding Pakistan’s mediation role, said Pakistan’s initiative and sense of responsibility in actively promoting peace, ending hostilities, and playing an important mediation role in the US-Iran negotiations is appreciable.

The spokesperson said that China is willing to continue upholding the spirit of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s four-point proposal on safeguarding and advancing peace and stability in the Middle East.

China also reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the China-Pakistan five-point initiative aimed at restoring peace and stability in the Gulf and the broader Middle East region.
