The 50th death anniversary of renowned painter Abdul Rahman Chughtai is being observed today.
He is also called 'Musawwer-e-Mashriq'.
Abdul Rahman Chughtai is known for his unique and distinctive painting style influenced by Mughal Art, Miniature Painting and Islamic Art Traditions.
Abdul Rahman Chughtai designed first four postage stamps of Pakistan and the monograms of Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television.
He was also a good fiction writer.
Two collections of his fictions 'Lagaan' and 'Kajal' have been published.
He died on this day in Lahore after a protracted illness.
