Iran says illegal presence of US military in Persian gulf is a source of insecurity in the region.

Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, while speaking to media in Tehran, dismissed US reports of harassment by Iranian vessels terming it baseless.

Earlier, US military claimed that 11 vessels from Iran's Navy came dangerously close to US Navy ships in the Gulf.
